my weekend

Dec. 12th, 2005 | 11:31 am

Well this weekend was really good!! On saturday evening we went to Louise and Pete's new flat for an evening of sophistcated mureder mystery. Their flat is actually really big and has really nice wood laminate floors! When Rupert and I get a house we're going to have wood laminate floors too. Anyway, we all had to dress up as a character from this murder mystery pack from Robert Sayles - I was Lucy Loveless, a kind of slutty secretary-an excuse to wear scarlett lippy which was fun! Rupert was a detective but we didnt manage to get him an outfit because everything was either too small or too expensive. But kizzy brought him a magnifying glass so all was well!

When we were given our bookets, I discovered I was actually the murderer! Ha Ha! Was great fun but got a bit confused! Louise cooked a REALLY nice spaghetti bolognese - was yum!very garlicky and red winey!!!

On Sun, Rupert and I went to Petpaks and got 4 guppies, 6 tetras and a siamese fighting fish. Two tetras have died.....oh dear.....

A tingly toe mystery.....

Dec. 8th, 2005 | 03:20 pm
mood: worried worried
music: Ricki Lake show

Today I am very worried about my tingling toes. Last night after Lost I noticed that the toes on my left foot were kind of tingly (not like pins and needles though. The tingliness comes in waves and even now at 3.30 the next day, it has still not gone away. Am very worried about this - is this a symptom of some kind of brain disease?? i don't think its dvt as my leg isn't swollen or anything.

UGHHH!!!!! I am getting so fed up with these potentially fatal mystery ailments that seem plague me constantly. First it was the stomach(well lower abdomen, lets be medical about this) that was sticking out more on the left side than the right side. Went to drs who told me she couldnt feel anything and it wasn't cancer but im not convinced it should look like that. Since that was the left side maybe it is related to the tingly toes?

I wish I could just be worry free and never think about these stupid illnesses again, after all I guess it would be very unlikely that I would get all of them.

Also have had a boring day coz Kizzy has disappeared offline - come back Kiz!! Or are you back at work?

Bloody Maths!

Dec. 5th, 2005 | 03:59 pm
mood: I hate Euler!!!! I hate Euler!!!!

I am fed up with bloody maths! HAve been working on this for weeks now - beginning to think maybe I am just thick. Plus have been sitting for so long, legs have gone tingly and numb - the last thing i need is a blood clot! ra!

Kizzy the willow/mylo babies would be SOOOOOOOOOO cute. I will have to sneak her round coz mum and Rupert say she's not allowed kittens! Surely thats a violation of kitty rights?? Reversing cat vasectomies is probably harder than it sounds.....

Christmas is coming!

Dec. 4th, 2005 | 07:15 pm
mood: hungry hungry

Today we have made our kitchen into a Christams grotto! Well practically! We have six strings of white fairy lights hung in our kitchen which looks so cool - we put them up to my special xmas music cd -special coz i made it specially. I so love Fairytale of New York. Rupert said it sounds really pikey - which i guess it does- but its still v good. The pikiness is the whole point - i think they are supposed to be drunk homeless ppl or something like that.

Fish are still alive - yay! If it carries on like this I will be round to Naomis for some baby Platys! Also, Naomi, do you want a male Dwarf Gourami? We have two but apparently they are happier if you have a pair - one male one female.

We also went to Tesco's today. Was very fun. Tesco's is a total shopping experience, a way of life, I totally love it. I get sad if i don't go to Tesco's on a Sunday.

Today in my Kinder advent calender I had a Kinder Bueno the slut chocolate! Was yum, wish there was glitter though.

On a non-airhead line, my maths coursework is almost completed, even done my graphs! I could write more but haven't worked ut how this public private thing works yet. Am paranoid uni ppl will stumble across my rantings!

Also, wiz, update your journal! some of us have very sad lives and look forward to such things!

The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever!!!!

Dec. 3rd, 2005 | 05:05 pm
mood: tired tired

Well today Rupert and I thought it was about time we got our Christmas tree sorted. In my mind there is no point in getting a tree only two weeks before Christmas as it is a total waste of time and money! So, we pootled off to Notcutts in search of a prime specimen. I was expecting to pay about £30 but they were actually really cheap there! Can't help thinking that last year we were totally ripped off! Anyway in our excitement we grabbed the bushiest tree we could find (was only a medium though) for £12.99 and the man put it through the white spider web thingy. Now, at the garded centre, the tree didn't look that enormous but when we got it home.......it was the biggest tree ever! We had to chop the top off! And we can't get out the back door! Oh well.

Also we had fish escapades and bought two dwarf Gouramis and six Neon Tetras. These are tester fish so we hope its ok. Don't want the poor little things to die. Our water has gone yellowy brown which we realised was the bogwood leaching colour into the water! Ra! Apparently the filter sorts it after a while. But is still annoying. Oh and Willow loves the tank!

Getting Chinese takeaway tonight! Yay! After yesterdsay's fiasco it is probably best. Am going to eat loads and loads until I'm sick!
